OK, OK so I’m supposed to understand the Blog site before I start this EPIC SHIT stuff. Well I’m doing it now. Many people have ridden their bike across the USA. Why am I doing it? Not sure. Someone told me to. I think I have the ability and the time to do it. Become a better person. How could I get any better? Win the most stories contest.
What I feel like now:
- With friends and family supporting this or actually doing it with me, I’m starting to tear up.
- All the planning and training isn’t so bad, so far.
- I feel like I am becoming a little more self reliant. That was the number one thing my lovely wife Sarah told me to work on when I retired. Become more self reliant would you please.
- I’ve told too many people now so failure is a bigger deal than I thought it would be.
- After doing numerous rides of 100 miles my crotch hurts, I need to stretch my back, sometimes my hand goes numb, some towns really are shitholes, it’s going to be hot and cold. What the hell? I thought it would all feel like I was transcending.
Sounds like you’ve already learned a few things…
