SOTD

10/2. 77 miles from Bethel VT to North Woodstock NH. Beautiful day with 2 ball buster climbs.  One more big climb out of the chute in the morning.

Made it to New Hampshire with little glory.

I came up a few miles short yesterday so today Paul dropped me off at the Ladies’ tee.  I did a little admin work while I waited for Kevin to ride the first 18 miles over a Vermont pass.

I started off slow and petered out all together.  Kevin sent a rescue vehicle from the Hotel because it was getting dark and cold, which saved me from the 5 mile decent into town.

John (above) owner of the hotel not only picked me up on the Mountain but gave me a Mike style sweater that someone left at the Hotel. John is SOTD (Saint of the Day).

I’ll be heading home tomorrow and Kevin’s friends the Hurds will pick me up and take me to somewhere close to an airport. They just happen to be hiking in the White Mountains. What are the chances. Guess who will be SOTD tomorrow? Hopefully a little Doctor care will fix me up.

I think Kevin will flourish during the few days he has left of this Epic Shit trip, while he finally rides solo.

  2. Your friends really are saints of the decade! Remember when it was one of your Pillsbury work anniversaries and we dressed you up on a hero’s coat and pinned medals on you? You were so proud. Then we surprised you with a cream pie to the face! Get ready for a fun celebration once you return home! In the meantime, way to go! You are amazing!
